Help-Portrait is about GIVING the pictures, not taking them. These portraits aren’t for a portfolio, website, or sale. It’s about giving people who otherwise couldn’t afford photography, a chance to capture a moment, a memory…and a whole lot more.
Everyone here is a volunteer, and we can always use a hand. If you are interested in making this event happen, please sign up here.
Do I need to register before the event?
No. Everyone is welcome to come between 10 am and 5 pm—no need to register or have an appointment.
Can I bring my friends?
Yes, you can bring friends and family. The number of prints is limited, but we can give you a few extra photos online.
Is there any cost?
Absolutely not. Everything at Help Portrait is free. Photographers, makeup artists, hair stylists and many other volunteers are donating their time and talent for you.
How long does it take?
The time it takes depends on several factors: the number of people ahead of you when you arrive, if you are having hair and makeup done, the actual photo session and the print of your portrait. Overall, it can take anywhere from 40 to 90 minutes.
